TXWES Men's Basketball (1-3) lost to Oklahoma City University (3-3) on the road in the Sooner Athletic Conference opener in Oklahoma City, OK, at Abe Lemons Arena.
 
The Rams trailed 34-30 going into halftime. TXWES shot 11-34 (32.35%) from the field, 4-15 (26.67%) from the three-point line, and 4-7 (50%) from the free-throw line in the first half. In the second half, the Rams shot 12-32 (37.50%) from the field, 3-15 (20%) from the three-point line, and 16-21 (76.19%) from the free throw line.
 
For the game, TXWES was 23-66 (46.4%) from the field, 7-30 (23.3%) from the three-point line, and 20-28 (71.4%) from the free-throw line. The Rams scored three second-chance points, 22 points in the paint, and 23 points off turnovers.
 
TXWES held OCU to 26-56 (46.4%) shooting from the field, 8-20 (40%) from the three-point line, and 21-31 (67.7%) from the free-throw line. OCU scored 30 points in the paint, seven points off turnovers, and 14 second-chance points.
 
Three Rams scored in double figures. Lamine Komara scored 18 points on 5-12 shooting from the field, Akili Vining scored 16 points and Juwan Jones scored 14 points.

The Rams will next play at home against John Brown University on November 19, with a 3:45 PM tip off. The Rams last home game before the Thanksgiving break will pit TXWES against Dallas Christian College on November 22, in the Sid Richardson Center, with a scheduled tip off of 6 PM.
