A non-conference, NAIA matchup between the North American University Stallions (0-0 Independent) and the Texas Wesleyan University (7-2, 6-2 SAC) on Saturday, November 5th in Ft. Worth, TX, at Farrington Field. This will be the homecoming game for the Rams. Both teams will face off in both programs' respective histories for the first time.
The Stallions are coming into Ft. Worth on a two-game win streak with wins over Arkansas Baptist University and Louisiana Community Christian College. North American University has played some talented teams throughout their seasons, such as Texas A&M-Commerce (NCAA D1 FCS), Texas A&M-Kingsville (NCAA D2), and the 19th-ranked St. Thomas University (NAIA) out of Miami Gardens, Florida. The Stallions have a stout strength of schedule and have nothing to lose coming to Ft. Worth.
The Rams are coming off a bounce-back victory over Texas College this past weekend. Texas Wesleyan has been playing lights out with only one total loss at home in two seasons. The Rams are going into this game with one of the best running games in the nation, ranking at number three. Ernest Caesar broke the 1000-yard rushing mark last week and is looking to continue to add to that total.
Texas Wesleyan is also looking to make history tomorrow as the winningest team in program history. The best winning record is 7-3, tied last season.
