PLAINVIEW, TX-- The Texas Wesleyan baseball team (20-12, 7-5 SAC) completed a three-game sweep of Wayland Baptist University (16-13,1-8) with a 10-6 victory to extend its winning streak to five games.
The Rams trailed in all three games in the series, but overcame each deficit to secure three conference wins. WBU held a 3-0 lead heading into the sixth inning. In the top of the sixth inning TXWES exploded offensively scoring five runs to take a 5-3 lead. The inning started with

In the seventh inning
JD Padgett blasted a home-run to give the Rams a 6-3 lead. In the eighth inning the Rams continued their offensive prowess by scoring four runs in the eighth inning to put the game away.Â
Cory Didier delivered a solid performance on the mound as he pitched 4.1 innings, striking out five batters and giving up one run.
David Theriot moves to 6-1 on the season after pitching 2.1 innings in relief and giving up one earned run and recording two strikeouts.
Morgan McCloud pitched 2.1 innings and only gave up one run.
Joseph Barfield recorded two hits and 4 RBI's in five at-bats.
Marcos Sanchez recorded two hits in four at-bats and
Greyson Barrett recorded two hits and two RBI's in five at-bats. TXWES is now on a five game winning streak and is hitting its stride at the right time.
TXWES will face Jarvis Christian College on Tuesday, March 29 in Hawkins, Texas.
