FORT WORTH-- The Texas Wesleyan softball team (16-10, 10-6 SAC) split a DH against MACU (15-13, 4-8) on Saturday afternoon at Sycamore Park. The Lady Rams won game one 13-3 and lost game two 3-0.
In game one, TXWES used explosive offense and solid pitching to upend MACU.
Kylie Summers crushed a lead-off homerun over the left field wall to give the Lady Rams a 1-0 lead. In the third inning the Lady Rams grasped control of the game with a six run inning.

Izzy Valenzuela crushed a grand-slam to give TXWES a 7-1 lead heading into the fourth inning.Â
In the fifth inning,
Kylie Summers hit her second homerun of the game to extend the lead to 10-3.
Rhea-Ann Avalos ended the game with a three-run homerun to make the score 13-3.
Taylor Tubbs pitched five innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out four batters. Tubbs moves to 8-4 on the season.
Kylie Summers went three for four with two homeruns and four RBI's.
Rhea-Ann Avalos went two for four with three RBI's.
Izzy Valenzuela went two for three, hitting a grand-slam and recording four RBI's.Â
In game two, pitching and defense was a key factor in deciding the game. Through two innings of play, neither team was able to score a run. MACU scored three runs in the third innings. These were the only runs scored in the game.
TXWES was only able to record three hits.
Dylann Kaderka moves to 8-6 on the season after pitching 7 innings, giving up four hits and three runs. Kaderka also recorded six strikeouts. TXWES will face OPSU in a four game series on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2 in Goodwell, Oklahoma.
