FORT WORTH—The Texas Wesleyan Softball Team (23-13, 13-9 SAC) defeated Southwestern Assemblies of God University (27-18, 15-13) in a DH on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Rams won game one 5-1 and won game two 1-0.
Taylor Tubbs was on the mound for TXWES in game one and put together a phenomenal performance. Tubbs allowed six hits and one run over seven innings, struck out five.
TXWES had ten hits in the game.
Brynna Foster,
Devin Dunn, and Sandy Lopez all collected multiple hits for the Lady Rams. Foster went 3-for-3 to lead TXWES in hits. TXWES was able to stifle the Lions with solid defense, stellar offense, and a dominant pitching performance on the mound.
In game two,
Dylann Kaderka did not allow a single run as TXWES defeated SAGU 1-0 on Tuesday. Kaderka allowed just one hit and pitched all seven innings. Kaderka struck out seven.
TXWES saw the ball well today, racking up six hits in the game.
Kylie Summers and
Jaeley May each had multiple hits for the Lady Rams.Summers led TXWES with three hits in three at bats. The Lady Rams will face Southwestern Christian University on Thursday afternoon.
