OKLAHOMA CITY, OK-- The Texas Wesleyan Softball Team (23-17, 13-13 SAC) lost both games of a DH against Mid-America Christian University (28-20, 17-15) on Saturday afternoon. TXWES dropped game one 8-1 and lost game two 5-1.Â
Tough game one for TXWES, who lost 8-0 to MACU.
One positive for te Lady Rams was a single in the first inning by Devin Dunn.
Taylor Tubbs was on the mound for TXWES.Tubbs allowed five hits and four runs over three and a third innings, she struck out four and walked none. Dylann Kaderka threw one and one-third innings out of the bullpen.
Devin Dunn and Mercedes Beltran each collected one hit to lead TXWES.
In game two, the Lady Rams fell short early and could not come back in a 5-1 loss against MACU on Saturday.
Arianna Lopez took the rubber for TXWES. Lopez gave up five runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out two and walking one.
Jaeley May, Sandy Lopez, and Rhea-Ann Avalos all had one hit each to lead the lady Rams. With this loss the Lady Rams move into fifth place in the Sooner Atletic Conference standings. The Lady Rams will hit the field on Saturday, April 30 against Langston University at 1 and 3 p.m.
