OKLAHOMA CITY-- The Texas Wesleyan softball team (26-18, 15-13 SAC) lost in the opening round of the SAC Tournament against Mid-America Christian (32-20, 17-15) and bounced back with an 11-0 victory against Central Christian College in an elimination game to propel the Lady Rams to the next round, preparing for a matchup against the top seed stars.
In game one TXWES had the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-1 loss to MACU on Friday.
Dylann Kaderka was on the mound for the Lady Rams. The pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out one.
Taylor Tubbs and
Arianna Lopez entered the game from the bullpen, throwing four innings and one-third innings.
TXWES Â hit one homerun on the day.
Rhea-Ann Avalos went deep in the seventh inning.
Breanna Leathers and Avalos each pulled off one hit for the Lady Rams. TXWES did not commit a single error in the field.

In the second game against Central Christian College,
Arianna Lopez did not allow a single run as TXWES Â beat Central Christian College 11-0 on Friday.
Arianna Lopez just allowed two hits.
TXWES SB got things going early in the first inning, when
Brynna Foster doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run,
Devin Dunn. In the bottom of the second inning,
Kylie Summers doubled to pick up another run.
TXWES Â scored five runs in the third inning. The offensive side was led by
Izzy Valenzuela,
Mercedes Beltran, Sandy Lopez, and
Devin Dunn all knocking in runs in the inning.
Arianna Lopez led things off in the circle for the Lady Rams, gaining her first collegiate win. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out two and walking one.
TXWES Â launched one home run on the day.
Rhea-Ann Avalos went deep in the fourth inning.
The Lady Rams had nine hits in the game. Avalos and Valenzuela all managed multiple hits for the Lady Rams. Avalos went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead TXWES.
TXWES did not commit a single error on the field. The Lady Rams will square off in a showdown tomorrow at 1 p.m. against Oklahoma City University with aspirations of keeping their tournament hopes alive.
