BB: Rams split DH against #9 Drovers

CHICKASA, OK-- The Texas Wesleyan Baseball Team (32-17, 14-9 SAC) split a doubleheader against Science and Arts University (32-11, 17-6) on Friday afternoon. TXWES won game one 8-3 and lost game two 15-7.

TXWES Baseball was able to score a win in game one against USAO on Friday.

On the mound for the Rams, Garret Bodine, who moved to 4-0 on the season after pitching 1.2 innings, allowed three runs and four hits. In relief, David Theriot pitched three innings, allowed no runs, and two hits. Jojo Barfield had one hit on the day and picked up one RBI. Kevin Santiago recorded three RBIs and crushed a homerun. Manny Luna and Jose Sosa also homered on the day.

Justin Ward pitched one inning out if the bullpen gave up two hits and no runs. Morgan McCloud pitched 1.1 innings allowing only one hit and no runs. The bullpen was solid for the Rams defeating #9 USAO.

TXWES Baseball drops game two against USAO on Friday.

Greyson Barrett collected two hits and two RBIs for the Rams. Jose Sosa also collected two hits, picked up two RBIs and a homerun. Kevin Santiago collected two RBIs with two hits.

USAO scored 15 runs, rough second game for pitching. The game ending score was 15-7. Rams will look to bounce back tomorrow at 12pm for one last shot at USAO to win the series.
