T&F: Rams Add Talented Middle Distance Runner Indya Price to Women's Program

Head Coach Randy Dalzell announced the signing of Indya Price, a talented transfer middle distance runner with experience at the collegiate level as well as a background running for Coach Dalzell.  Price, who was a NWAC junior college All-American at Treasure Valley Community College, also ran for Coach Dalzell at Warner Pacific University in 2020-2021 and was a national qualifier in the 800m. She has personal bests of 59.69 in the 400m, 2:14 in the 800m, 4:54 in the 1500m and 19:24 in 5K cross country.  Price was also an All-State runner at Sugar-Salem High School in Sugar City, Idaho, finishing second in the state 400m her senior year as well as finishing 4th, 5th, 6th and 9th at the Idaho state cross country meet four different times in high school. Price has three terms of attendance remaining and will run indoor and outdoor track this year, then run cross country, indoor and outdoor track her senior season. She is a junior psychology major.

"Obviously, I have first hand knowledge of Indya's talent and I know that she can really contribute to our women's team in many ways over the next two years. She has good leg speed and can run a wide range of middle distance events in indoor and outdoor track, making her a great relay option for the DMR and the 4 x 800 relay as well as a potential individual qualifier in the 600m, 800m, 1000m, 1500m, or mile. She also gives us some more depth in women's cross country the season that she chooses to run that as well," Dalzell said. "She is a very good student and will be a veteran teammate that will fit in great with the ladies we have in the middle and long distance group. We're very excited to add her to our women's program and looking forward to adding her to the middle and long distance ladies group."
