The Texas Wesleyan Rams beat the Jarvis Christian Bulldogs 2-1 with a second half push.
The game was scoreless in the first half, while there were a combined 14 shots-on-goal. Jarvis had eight shots, while the Rams had six shots.
Texas Wesleyan jumped out to an early start in the second half at the 59th minute with a goal by
Oscar Odriozola, assisted by Mathis Gouffroy. It was not long until the Rams found the net again as
Mario Herrera scored at the 61st minute.Â
The Bulldogs answered with a goal by Johan Arevalo at the 68th minute. Unfortunately Jarvis could not hit on the other six of the seven shots they had in the second half of the match.
Texas Wesleyan came away with the 2-1 win to continue their win streak.
The Rams will host #22 Lyon College, Sept. 3 at Gateway Park for their next match. The two teams haven't  met since 2013 when the Rams took the win.
