The Lady Rams lost to Louisiana State University Alexandria 4-2 in a non-conference game Sept. 13 on the road.Â

The loss puts Texas Wesleyan at 2-4-0 overall. LSU Alexandria remains undefeated at 2-0-1.

This is only the second time the two teams have met with LSU Alexandria winning both games.

In the first period, the Lady Rams jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead at 1:49 into the game when a
Tameir Grosvenor penalty kick hit paydirt.

Theresa Langauer evened the score for the Generals at 5:16 in the game after a Charlotte Maconachie shot on goal was saved by Texas Wesleyan's goalie
Reese Blanton. Langauer was able to follow that up with an assist from Andressa Araujo to bring the score to 1-1.

Araujo followed up just 10 minutes later with another goal to give the Generals a 2-1 lead. Shots from
Cara Zwilling and
Kathyana Jasso before the 20 minute mark were stopped by LSU Alexandria's goalie Eva Phillips, and at the 25-minute mark Maconachie finally found the back of the net with her shot to give the Generals a 3-1 lead. Neither team was able to convert in the last few minutes of the first period, and the Lady Rams went into the half trailing 3-1.

In the second period, Texas Wesleyan Grosvenor had three other shots, two on goal, but LSU Alexandria's Phillips was able to provide the defense the Generals needed to contain the Lady Ram offense, while LSU Alexandria's offense provided a fourth goal just five minutes into the second half.Â

Lady Ram Kiki Molinar led an offensive effort at the 66:17 mark in the game to make the score 4-2. Neither team was able to convert on additional opportunities in the game. The Lady Rams lost to the Generals 4-2.Â

Texas Wesleyan's Grosvenor had three shots on goal and scored once in her 90 minutes of play.

The Lady Rams will face LSU Shreveport Sept. 14 as they continue their Louisiana road trip. The two teams have met six times. Texas Wesleyan lead the series 5-1.Â
