MSOC: Rams Starts Conference Play with 7-1 Record

Fort Worth, TX: The TXWES Men's Soccer Team (7-1-0) beat Randall University (3-4-1) at Polytechnic High School by a 7-2 final after the game was moved due to lighting issues.

The Rams came out shooting in the first half, outshooting Randall 16-4 during the first half. The play resulted in a first strike goal by Oscar Odriozola at the three-minute mark, but Randall would even score with a goal of their own about 3 minutes later.

James Kerr gave the Rams the lead again with a goal at the 28-minute mark, followed by another goal from Odriozola, assisted by Marion Herrera and himself, giving the Rams a 3-1 advantage at the end of the first half

The second half was another attack on the goal for the Rams, again outshooting Randall in the frame 14-4, completing the game with 30 total shots and 22 of those shots coming on goal.

After Randall scored another goal at the 46-minute mark, the Rams would close out the second half with four unanswered goals.

The first of the second half for the Rams was Kerr's second goal of the game at the 50-minute mark and was assisted by Augustus Aidonis. Herrera would score a goal of his own at the 64-minute mark. 

Anuar Trejo assisted Levin Brunner on his goal scored at the 68-minute marker, and the Rams closed out the scoring on a 78-minute marker goal by Mathis Gouffroy and assisted by Hector Perez to give the Rams a 7-2 victory.

The Rams will open Sooner Athletic Conference play against Oklahoma City University on Sept. 27 at Martin Field with a 7 PM kickoff.
