The TXWES Men's Basketball (10-8, 7-5 SAC) beat the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (11-7, 8-4 SAC) in the Sid Richardson Center 82-74.
  
The Rams led 47-30 going into halftime. TXWES shot 17-34 (50%) from the field, 9-15 (60%) from the three-point line and 4-4 (100%) from the free-throw line in the first half. In the second half, the Rams shot 14-30 (46.67%) from the field, 3-10 (30%) from the three-point line and 4-7 (57.14%) from the free throw line.
 
For the game, TXWES was 31-64 from the field (48.4%), 12-25 from the three-point line (48%), and 8-11 from the free-throw line (72.7%). The Rams scored four second-chance points, 38 points in the paint, and 12 points off turnovers.
   
TXWES contained USAO to 28-62 shooting from the field (45.2%), 9-23 from the three-point line (39.1%) and 9-14 from the free-throw line (64.3%). USAO scored 30 points in the paint, 14 points off turnovers and five second-chance points.
 
Five Rams scored in double figures. Gavin Harris scored 20 points, going 7-9 from the field, and 6-7 from three-point range, in 29 minutes. Lamine Komara came off the bench to score 14 points in 26 minutes. Payton Sallee and Akili Vining each scored 12 points, with Vining's all coming in the second half. Rounding out Rams in double digits scoring was Matt Nero, who came off the bench to contribute 11 points in 15 minutes.

The Rams' next game is at home on Jan. 19 against the Oklahoma City University Stars, with tip-off scheduled for 7:45 PM in the Sid Richardson Center.
