The TXWES Men's Basketball (11-9, 8-6 SAC) lost to John Brown University (6-13, 4-9 SAC) on Saturday, 83-79.
The Rams trailed 39-30 going into halftime. TXWES shot 13-36 (36.11%) from the field, 1-10 (10%) from the three-point line and 3-4 (75%) from the free-throw line in the first half. In the second half, the Rams shot 17-40 (42.5%) from the field, 3-13 (23.08%) from the three-point line and 12-16 (75%) from the free throw line.
For the game, TXWES was 30-76 from the field (39.5%), 4-23 from the three-point line (17.4%), and 15-20 from the free-throw line (75%). The Rams scored 13 second-chance points, 56 points in the paint, and 19 points off turnovers.
TXWES contained JBU to 26-61 shooting from the field (42.6%), 10-22 from the three-point line (45.5%) and 21-31 from the free-throw line (67.7%). JBU scored 35 points in the paint, 17 points off turnovers and five second-chance points.
