The Texas Wesleyan Lady Rams (13-1, 8-0 SAC) played Central Christian College of Kansas (0-12, 0-8 SAC) on Thursday and won 114-60.

Savanna Smith who in 27 minutes of play, led all scorers with 39 points, on 15-20 from the field, including 4-4 from three-point range and 5-5 from the free throw line. Three other lady Rams were able to score in double digits,
Makayla Coy scored 20 points and nabbed nine rebounds, one short of a double-double. Taryan Wills scored 19 points in 24 minutes of play, and Maliah LaCour came off the bench to score 10 points in 22 minutes of play.
The Lady Rams continued their dominance the boards out rebounding CCCK 45-29, including putting in 24 second chance points, compared to just three second chance points from CCCK.
Texas Wesleyan outscored the CCCK every quarter, holding the Lady Tigers to just 11 points in the third quarter. The win extends the Lady Rams win streak to 12 games, giving them a one game lead in the SAC over USAO.Â

Since the start of the season, Texas Wesleyan has showed consistent improvement. Coy has recorded five double-doubles for the season, and is closing in on the 1000 point in her time at Texas Wesleyan.
The Lady Rams were able to hold the Tigers to 19-52 (36.5%) from the field 12-29 (41.4%) from three-point range and 10-11 (90.0%) from the free throw line. TXWES saw the Tigers score 21 points in the paint and just 10 points off the bench.
The Lady Rams will next play on Jan. 7 at Langston University with tip-off set for 2 PM in Langston, OK. The next home contest will be on Jan. 12 against Wayland Baptist University with a 6 pm scheduled tip-off.
