TXWES Men's Basketball (7-8, 4-5 SAC) lost on the road to No. 7 Langston University (15-0, 9-0 SAC) on the road in Edmond, OK, 79-64.

 
The Rams trailed 43-30 going into halftime. TXWES shot 8-19 (42.11%) from the field, 1-6 (16.67%) from the three-point line and 13-17 (76.47%) from the free-throw line in the first half. In the second half, the Rams shot 9-25 (36%) from the field, 3-8 (37.5%) from the three-point line and 13-16 (81.25%) from the free throw line.

For the game, TXWES was 17-44 from the field (38.6%), 4-14 from the three-point line (28.6%), and 26-33 from the free-throw line (78.8%). The Rams scored eight second-chance points, 24 points in the paint, and nine points off turnovers.

  
TXWES contained LU to 27-53 shooting from the field (50.9%), 2-14 from the three-point line (14.3%) and 23-33 from the free-throw line (69.7%). LU scored 50 points in the paint, 22 points off turnovers, and 11 second-chance points.

  
Three Rams scored in double figures. Keyaun Hoskins coming off the bench, led the Rams, scoring 15 points, shooting 4-12 from the field, including 6-8 from the free throw line, in 26 minutes. Akili Vining contributed 14 points, on 3-9 from the field in 36 minutes, and Juwan Jones came off the bench to score 11 points in 17 minutes. 

The Rams will next play on Jan. 12 against Wayland Baptist University in the Sid Richardson Center, with tip-off set for 7:45 PM.
