MSOC: Rams Fall on Road to Central Christian College

McPherson, KS - On Tuesday, the Texas Wesleyan Rams (TXWES) faced the Central Christian College Tigers (CCCK) and were defeated 3-1. 

Early on, Luca Hoff of Texas Wesleyan had a shot saved by Central Christian's Rodolfo Ramirez, followed by a corner kick from Levin Brunner. CCCK scored the opening goal at 9:49, thanks to Drew Schrader's goal, assisted by Logan Singh and Johnny Rodriguez. 

Substitutions, corner kicks, and shots on goal were frequent, and Alex Heinle's saves were crucial for Texas Wesleyan, with the period ending in a 1-0 lead for CCCK.

As the second half commenced, the Tigers continued to exert pressure on TXWES. At the 55:43 mark, Camilo Penafiel scored another goal for Central Christian College, courtesy of assists from Johnny Rodriguez and Drew Schrader.  

CCCK extended its lead at the 61:55 mark when Drew Schrader scored his second goal, with Camilo Penafiel providing the assist.  
Texas Wesleyan got on the scoreboard at 68:53 when Diogo Stefane netted a goal, assisted by Levin Brunner.  

Despite Texas Wesleyan's efforts, Central Christian held on to their lead, securing a 3-1 victory. 

Statistically, the Rams registered 11 shots, with four of them on target, while the Tigers recorded 12 shots, seven of which were on target. Both teams displayed solid defensive performances, with Texas Wesleyan's goalkeeper making two saves and Central Christian's making three saves. Corner kicks totaled four for TXWES and 6 for CCCK. The match witnessed ten fouls, with Texas Wesleyan committing four and Central Christian committing 7. 

The outcome of this match left Texas Wesleyan with a season record of 4-4-2, including a conference record of 0-2-0. Central Christian College improved to a season record of 6-2-2, with a conference record of 1-2-0.
