"Hasnae had a great day today and was the top SAC runner at the meet to win All-American honors. She really ran well and put a great cap on her season. Ashlei ran a solid race and just missed All-American honors as well. Sarays had a rough day compared to the SAC meet, but Sharon stepped up well today in our 4th spot and helped the team finish much higher than we were rated coming in," said Head Coach Randy Dalzell. "This sets us up to return to nationals in the future and start working our way into the top teams in the nation."
The Rams men had four individuals run today after missing a team berth. Brian Kiplangat was the top Rams runner in 85th place, while Jamon Smith finished 129th, and Douglash Kiprotich was 132nd. Walid Jarfani did not finish after being in 2nd place overall early in the race.
"Our men had an overall rough day after not getting a team berth. We were flat, and only Brian and Jamon ran well today. We'll be highly motivated to bring our full team next year," said Coach Dalzell.
