Fort Worth, TX: For the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Volleyball Tournament quarterfinals, the Texas Wesleyan Rams matched up as the No. 2 seed to face the No. 7 seed Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggies.
The Rams (24-5, 18-2) beat OPSU in three sets, 25-18, 25-11 and 25-14, to advance to the semifinal round of the Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament. 
 
Texas Wesleyan would take an early 8-4 lead before the Aggies would come storing back with a 5-1 to tie the set at nine.  The Rams would answer with their own mini run to reach the 15-point mark first. A Kendall king kill would force the Aggies to use their second timeout of the set to slow down the momentum of the Rams. Texas Wesleyan would cruise to the set victory as the Aggies struggled to catch the Rams. Set two saw the two teams battle early before the Rams would pull away yet again with the score at 11-4. Texas Wesleyan would continue to find ways to score as they extended their lead all the way to an easy set win. The Rams would have 15 kills with just one error. Set three would see the Rams score six straight points before the Aggies could stop the run. OPSU would show some fight late in the set cutting the deficit down to 8-14, but with their sights set on the next round the Rams would take care of business closing out the set on a 11-6 run to take the match win.
 
Kendal King finished with 11 kills to lead all players and added 14 digs for her first double-double performance of the season. Makenna Gantt added nine kills and 13 assists while Ruby O'Brien threw out 17 assists and tailed 10 digs. Andrea Malek had another impressive night finishing with 22 digs.
 
Texas Wesleyan will look to advance, matching up with either Mid-America Christian University (MACU) or Wayland Baptist (WBU) in the semifinal round of the Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament. The match is set for a 6 PM start inside of the Shaeffer Center in Waxahachie, TX
