The TXWES Men's Basketball (12-11, 9-8 SAC) lost to Mid-America Christian University (9-14, 6-11 SAC) on Saturday, 88-78.
  
The Rams trailed 34-29 going into halftime. TXWES shot 11-28 (39.29%) from the field, 5-14 (35.71%) from the three-point line and 2-4 (50%) from the free-throw line in the first half. In the second half, the Rams shot 13-31 (48.39%) from the field, 6-13 (46.15%) from the three-point line and 14-17 (82.35%) from the free throw line.
  
For the game, TXWES was 26-59 from the field (44.1%), 11-27 from the three-point line (40.7%), and 16-21 from the free-throw line (76.2%). The Rams scored seven second-chance points, 24 points in the paint, and two points off turnovers.
  
TXWES contained MACU to 28-56 shooting from the field (50%), 8-15 from the three-point line (53.3%) and 16-27 from the free-throw line (59.3%). MACU scored 30 points in the paint, 11 points off turnovers and 22 second-chance points.
  
Five Rams scored in double figures. Matt led the Rams off the bench with 19 points, going 7-10 from the field in 33 minutes. Peyton Sallee scored 18 points, going 4-9 from three-point range in 36 minutes. Gavin Harris scored 12 points in 26 minutes. Akili Vining scored 11 points and Keyan Hoskins scored 10 points.

The Rams' next game is against Southwestern Christian University, on Feb. 6, in the Sid Richardson Center, with tip-off scheduled for 7:45 PM.
