The TXWES Women's Basketball (20-3, 15-2 SAC) lost to Mid-America Christian University (20-4, 14-4 SAC) on Saturday, 90-66.
  
The Lady Rams trailed 41-37 going into halftime. TXWES shot 5-14 (35.71%) from the field, 1-3 (33.33%) from the three-point line and 2-2 (100%) from the free-throw line in the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Lady Rams shot 10-20 (50%) from the field, 2-3 (66.67%) from the three-point line and 2-2 (100%) from the free throw line.

In the third quarter, the Lady Rams were 6-18 (33.33%) from the floor, 0-3 (0%) from the three-point line and 2-3 (67.66%) from the free throw line. In the final quarter the Lady Rams were 5-15 (33.33%) from the field, 0-5 (0%) from the three-point line and 5-6 (83.33%) from the free throw line.
  
For the game, TXWES was 26-67 from the field (38.8%), 3-14 from the three-point line (21.4%), and 11-13 from the free-throw line (84.6%). The Rams scored four second-chance points, 28 points in the paint, and eight points off turnovers.
  
 TXWES contained MACU to 36-68 shooting from the field (52.9%), 4-13 from the three-point line (30.8%) and 14-18 from the free-throw line (77.8%). MACU scored 52 points in the paint, 27 points off turnovers and 13 second-chance points.
  
The Lady Rams had two scorers in double digits. Kertisa Amos led the Lady Rams with 20 points, on 11-19 from the field, in 29 minutes. Taryn Wills came off the bench to score 13 points in 28 minutes.
 The Lady Rams' next game Is against Southwestern Christian University on Feb. 6 in the Sid Richardson Center, with tip-off scheduled for 6 PM.
