Different week, the same result as the Rams have another series sweep over Jarvis Christian University, as they win the series finale 12-2. The game ended via a ten-run rule after seven innings, as the offense was rolling on all cylinders.
Six of the ten batters that came to the plate finished the game with a multi-hit performance. At the top of the order, 2B
TJ Tomlinson put together a 3-4 day with an RBI and two runs scored. OF
Jonathan Pena had a day, going 2-5, with a run scored and four RBIs in the afternoon. Lastly, OF Grayson Barrett went 2-4, with a run scored and two RBIs. The team put together a whopping fifteen hits on their route to victory.
From offense to pitching, it came down to two pitchers who shined in the winning effort. LHP
Jansen Lublin secured his first season victory, going four solid innings, giving up one run, and striking out three. Freshman RHP
Kade Baron finished the final three innings, earning his first save, allowing three hits, a run, and striking out six in the process.
The Rams move to 6-0 on the young season, as they were treated to a nice home stretch the past two weeks. The Rams hit the road to Sterlington, Louisiana, this weekend as they participate in the third annual Cajun Collision. It'll be a four-game series for Texas Wesleyan, as they start things off this Friday at 11:00 am vs. Clarke University.
