SB: Lady Rams Split Series Finale

Waxahachie, TX – On Wednesday afternoon The Ladys Rams traveled to at Southwestern Assemblies of God University to face the Lady Lions softball team to close their Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) series in a doubleheader.

Game 1

Texas Wesleyan got off to a quick start in the first inning with two quick scores from Devin Dunn and Alyssa Bates. The Rams extended their lead in the top of the second with a scoring run from  EB Zimmerman. The Lady Ram's continued to make timely defensive plays and left SAGU scrambling to score. To seal the deal Kylie Summers scored in the top of the fifth inning locking in the score at 4-0. The Lady Lions would go scoreless in the first game of the day.  Brynna Forster pitched for all seven innings and completed the shutout with four strikeouts. 

Game 2

In the final game of the day the Lady Rams found themselves in scoring position with the bases loaded in the first inning. SAGU's  Trista Ford was able to stall the early success Texas Wesleyan with a timely strikeout to end the top of the first. For the rest of the game, The Lady Rams went scoreless as the Lady Lions The bats were on fire as they totaled 11 hits for 12 runs. Kylie Summers scored, Devin Dunn, Krysta White managed to score late in the top of the fifth, but the offense of the Lady Lions proved to be too much as the final score was 3-12. 

On Monday, March 20th, The Lady Rams will face Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, OK to compete in a four game series.
