BB: Rams Take First Two Games From Oklahoma Panhandle

Game 1:
Texas Wesleyan University's baseball team claimed a victory over the Oklahoma Panhandle State University's Aggies with a final score of 8-2 at  Sycamore Park in Fort Worth, Texas. The Friday afternoon game saw the Rams improve their season record to 28-11, 7-4 SAC. Meanwhile, the Aggies' season record dropped to 8-26-1, 3-13 SAC.

Texas Wesleyan's aggressive offense dominated the game, scoring eight runs with 11 hits against Oklahoma Panhandle's defense. The Rams' Greyson Barrett was named the SAC Player of the Week; this past week, he led the team with two home runs and three runs scored. Hayden Hutchins, who made an incredible diving catch in the first inning, also contributed to the team's success with a three-run homer in the second inning.

On the other hand, Texas Wesleyan's defense was equally impressive, allowing only two runs and six hits by the Aggies. The team's pitchers, Sutton Tidwell and Kyle Looper did a great job on the mound and limited the Aggies' scoring opportunities. Meanwhile, the Rams' infielders, particularly shortstop Brandon Rincones, displayed excellent fielding and made some crucial outs.

Overall, the game was a well-rounded performance by the Texas Wesleyan baseball team, showcasing their offensive and defensive strength. The Rams' season has been successful so far, and this game was no exception. The team will continue this momentum for the remainder of the season and work towards their ultimate goal of winning the conference title.

Game 2:
The second game played on Friday afternoon resulted in a 9-3 victory for Texas Wesleyan.  

On the offensive side, Texas Wesleyan had a strong game, scoring nine runs on ten hits. Grayson Barrett, Jonathan Pena, and Tomas Sanchez led the team with one RBI each. Jose Sosa and Carson Cheany also added one RBI each. Texas Wesleyan's batters showed excellent discipline, only striking out twice in the game. They also displayed their base running prowess, stealing one base and executing one sacrifice bunt.

On the defensive side, Texas Wesleyan showed its strength by only allowing three runs in the game. Stephen Roberts started on the mound and pitched six innings, allowing only two runs and striking out three batters. TJ Tomlinson and Kevin Santiago also pitched in relief, closing the game with a combined one run allowed and two strikeouts.

Overall, Texas Wesleyan demonstrated their well-rounded abilities in both offensive and defensive aspects. Their hitters were disciplined and strategic, and their pitchers showed excellent control and consistency. With this victory, Texas Wesleyan improved its record to 29-11 overall and 8-4 in the SAC, continuing to show why they are one of the top teams in the league.
