Fort Worth, TX - Head Coach Randy Dalzell announced the signing of transfer women's track and field athlete Madison Blanch. Blanch is a transfer from SAGU, where she was the SAC women's track and field heptathlon champion last spring.
After graduating from Midlothian High School in 2022, Blanch spent her freshman year with the Lady Lion's Track and Field team and competed in women's cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. She was a SAC All-conference women's track and field athlete, winning the heptathlon and also placing fourth in the 4 x 400 relay. She has a 5K cross country personal best of 19:48 and placed 16
th at the SAC Cross Country Championships last Fall.
Coach Dalzell called Blanch a very versatile athlete and praised the athlete for competing well in several track and field events.
"We are very excited to have Madison come join the TXWES track and field family," said Dalzell. "She has worked with Coach Cox, who just came over from SAGU, so we know we are getting a great competitor and someone who can contribute to our women's cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field teams. She will run cross country, but will also explore the steeplechase, 400 hurdles and the multi-events in track and field," said Dalzell.
