Fort Worth, TX - Head Coach Randy Dalzell announced the addition of standout Moroccan distance runner Hasnae Goulamzi.
Hasnae graduated from Mohamed VI Deploma High School in Taliouine, Morroco in July of 2018. She was the Moroccan Junior National 10,000m Champion with a time of 35:47 in April that same year. She also went on to finish third in the Moroccan women's cross country championships in January of 2019, earning her a position on the women's national cross country team. She also had the opportunity to compete at the Arab Cross Country Championships and the World Cross Country Championships in 2019 as part of the Moroccan Women's National Team. Some more of her accolades include winning the U20 Moroccan 5000m race in July of 2019 with a time of 17:15.32 and running a 4:38.94 in the 1500m in a tune-up race for that meet. In March of 2019 she ran a personal best of 17:14.61 for 5000m.
"Hasnae will be a great addition to our women's distance team," said Head Coach Randy Dalzell. "She is a very good student with high academic standing as well as a high performing runner. She was the Moroccan Junior National Champion at 10,000m and U20 Champion at 5000m on the track as well as a very competitive cross country runner. She made their women's national team right out of high school, so she will be very versatile as part of our women's distance team in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track and field,"
