WSOC: Lady Rams Win Big Over Sul Ross

FORT WORTH, TX — In a soccer match that saw a dominant performance by Texas Wesleyan, the Lady Rams emerged with an 8-2 win over Sul Ross State University on Saturday.

Texas Wesleyan's offensive prowess was on full display from the opening whistle. Alexa Bezpalko opened the scoring just 1:14 into the game, assisted by Cat Jasso, setting the tone for the match. Bezpalko continued her scoring spree with another goal at 10:25, this time with an assist from Maddy Alcala. Gracie Spradley and Maddy Alcala also found the back of the net for Texas Wesleyan in the first half, with Bezpalko assisting on both occasions.

Sul Ross State University showed signs of life in the second half, with Sarayi Serrano and Karina Gallegos scoring for the visitors. Yissel Olivares assisted Serrano's goal, and Gallegos found the net with an assist from Sarayi Serrano.

Despite Sul Ross State's efforts, Texas Wesleyan maintained control of the match, with Cat Jasso completing her brace and Gracie Spradley adding another goal. Bezpalko also tallied her third goal of the game late in the second half, completing her hat-trick with an assist from Gracie Spradley.

In the disciplinary department, Allison Cohen of Sul Ross State received a yellow card in the 49th minute.
