FORT WORTH, TX - On Saturday, Mid-America Christian University secured a 3-1 victory over Texas Wesleyan at Martin Field.

With this win, Mid-America improved their record to 11-1-3 and 6-0-1 in conference play, while TXWES fell to 7-6-2 overall and 1-3-2 in SAC play.

The scoring kicked off early, with Mario Garcia finding the net in the 9th minute, assisted by Pietro Musso.

Ten minutes later, Tony Ngombi extended the lead to 2-0. Texas Wesleyan responded in the second half with Matteo Todorovic scoring in the 54th minute, cutting the deficit to 2-1, thanks to an assist from Louis Guffroy.

However, Mid-America sealed the match in the 83rd minute when Oscar Gallardo scored, again assisted by Musso. The game was marked by a total of nine shots from Mid-America, six of which were on target, while Texas Wesleyan managed four shots with three on goal.  

The Rams will play against Oklahoma Panhandle State University at 7:15 p.m. at Martin Field on Tuesday.
