WSOC: Rams Fall on Senior Day to Evangels

FORT WORTH, TX - On Saturday, Texas Wesleyan University lost to Mid-America Christian University 3-1 at Martin Field. 

The victory improved Mid-America's record to 11-2-2 overall and 6-1-0 in conference play, while the Rams fell to 3-9-2 overall and 1-3-1 in SAC play.

The scoring started early, with Brae Baker netting the first goal just six minutes in, assisted by Caitlin Hirst and Gladis Avalos. Baker returned the favor, setting up Avalos for the second goal at the 20-minute marker. Baker added another goal before halftime, with a strong finish off an assist from Francesca Martella, bringing the score to 3-0.

Texas Wesleyan fought back in the second half, with Mikayla Trevino scoring in the 84th minute to break the shutout, but it wasn't enough.  

The Rams will next play at Martin Field on Tuesday at 5 p.m. against Oklahoma Panhandle State University.
