WSOC: Rams Beat Aggies at Home 2-0

FORT WORTH, TX - The Texas Wesleyan University (4-9-2, 2-3-1 SAC) secured a decisive 2-0 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State (4-10-0, 2-6-0 SAC) at Martin Field on Tuesday.

Kristine Garcia played a pivotal role, netting both goals in the first half to lead the Rams to their fourth win of the season. The first goal came at the 14:33 mark, with Garcia finishing a well-executed play assisted by Alexa Bezpalko and Gracie Spradley. Garcia struck again at the 35:08 mark, assisted by Mackenzie Allen.

Texas Wesleyan dominated the match statistically, registering 13 shots, nine of which were on target. Oklahoma Panhandle State managed just six shots, with five on goal, all saved by the Rams' goalkeeper.

The Aggies' defense kept busy, recording seven saves, but it wasn't enough to stop Garcia's impressive performance.

Both teams played a disciplined game, with no penalties recorded. TXWES also held the advantage in corner kicks, with eight to OPSU's four.

The Rams will next compete at Wayland Baptist University at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
