Point Lookout, MO - Texas Wesleyan University secured a 3-1 victory over College of the Ozarks on Friday at Keeter Gymnasium in Point Lookout, Missouri.
The Rams improved their record to 15-7 overall and 11-3 in conference play, while the Bobcats fell to 12-8 and 8-6. The sets scored 25-16, 22-25, 25-20, and 25-20, showcased a strong match from Texas Wesleyan.
Grace Pavelka led the Rams with 13 kills, while Sydney Alexander and Lyric Biggiers added 12 and 11, respectively. Migdaly Bernal excelled in service, delivering five aces. Defensively, Emily Lewis tallied 17 digs, and Alexander contributed four blocks.
Texas Wesleyan outperformed the College of the Ozarks in several categories, including kills (56-37), aces (15-8), and blocks (6-8). Ruby O'Brien also played a pivotal role with 21 assists.
The Rams will next play against Jonh Brown University at 1 p.m. on Saturday on the road.
