FORT WORTH, TX - Texas Wesleyan fell 1-0 to Central Christian (KS) in a tightly contested match on Monday at Martin Field in Fort Worth.
Camri Coker scored the game's lone goal at the 6:46 marker, putting Central Christian on the board early.
Despite the Rams' efforts, including nine shots with three on goal, they couldn't find the equalizer.
Central Christian recorded four shots, with two on target, and goalkeeper saves made the difference. Texas Wesleyan dominated in corner kicks, earning seven compared to Central Christian's two, but they couldn't capitalize on their opportunities.
The match saw minimal fouls, with Central Christian committing five and Texas Wesleyan three.
Texas Wesleyan now holds a 3-7-2 overall record and a 1-2-1 conference record, while Central Christian improved to 5-6-0 overall and 1-3-0 in conference play.
The Rams will next play on the road at 5Â p.m. on October 15 against Nelson University.
