CROWLEY, TX - Texas Wesleyan (8-0, 6-0 SAC) controlled Texas College (5-3, 3-3) with a commanding 70-7 victory, showcasing their superior offense and defense.
The Rams set the tone early, controlling field position and capitalizing on The Steer's offensive struggles. The game began with the TXWES defense forcing Texas College into a difficult punt, leading to a favorable field position. Ernest Ceasar scored the first touchdown on a short run and quickly followed it up with another after a successful drive led by quarterback Carson Rodgers. Rodgers later connected with AJ Bobb for a 39-yard touchdown, ending the first quarter with a 21-0 lead.
The Rams momentum continued into the second quarter. Rodgers connected with Bobb again for a 2-yard touchdown, followed by a touchdown pass from Ceasar to Rodgers for 9 yards. Defensive back Sir Hill then intercepted a Texas College pass, returning it 23 yards for another score, extending the lead to 42-0 by halftime.
Texas College managed a brief spark in the third quarter with Kendrick Conneley's 37-yard touchdown pass to Gregory Donalds. However, the Rams quickly responded. Ceasar dashed 32 yards for his third rushing touchdown, followed by another 6-yard scoring run, bringing the score to 56-7 by the end of the third quarter.
