FORT WORTH, TX - The Texas Wesleyan University women's basketball team suffered loss against Langston University 54-62 Monday evening inside of the Sid Richardson Center.

In a low scoring first half, Texas Wesleyan would find themselves all knotted up at 26-26 against the Lions in a highly competitive contest. Savanna Smith would lead the way with nine points as the Rams would outscore the Lions 14-4 in the second quarter.
 
Coming out of the break the two teams would keep things close to start the third. With five minutes left on the clock Langston would break free and go on a mini scoring run to extend score by 10 as the quarter ended. Texas Wesleyan would do their best to cut into the lead, but the Lions would go on to outlast their opponents and win the game 62-54.
 
Taryn Wills would finish the game leading all players with 19 points and seven rebounds.
 
The Rams will wrap up the regular season with a home game against Central Christian College. Tip-off is scheduled for a 1:00 PM on Saturday.
