OKLAHOMA CITY — In the last game of the series between Texas Wesleyan University and Oklahoma City University ended with the Stars winning 5-2 in 9-innings.
Oklahoma City seized an early advantage in the second inning when Hunter Brown's single down the left-field line drove in two runs, courtesy of Noah Kang and Aiden Rensum. Their lead expanded in the fifth inning with Hunter Lenochan's sacrifice fly, bringing in Spencer Biggersta.
The Rams staged a comeback in the sixth and seventh frames.
Ryan Flores injected hope for his team with a commanding homer to left field in the sixth inning. Following suit,
TJ Tomlinson's single up the middle in the subsequent inning narrowed the deficit to just one run.
The momentum shifted decisively in the eighth inning when Rensum doubled down the left-field line, adding two more runs to OCU's
tally. Despite TXWES's efforts, they failed to mount a comeback in the final innings.
