Rams Secure Best Finish in Learfield Directors' Cup Standings

FORT WORTH, TX - Texas Wesleyan University Athletics finished 20th in the Learfield Directors' Cup for the 2023-24 season, amassing 546 points, marking the highest finish in the institution's history, surpassing the previous best of 54th place last season.

The Sooner Athletic Conference had nine schools earn spots on the list, with Oklahoma City University leading the way. OCU finished 12th, accumulating 626.25 points.

The NAIA Learfield Directors' Cup will resume after the fall 2024 NAIA Championships, where institutions will have another opportunity to earn points and improve their standings.

The final NAIA standings consider 13 sports, with the mandatory inclusion of men's basketball, men's soccer, women's basketball, and women's volleyball. The following highest-scoring sports, up to nine, regardless of gender, also contribute to the overall score.

The Learfield Directors' Cup, a prestigious award developed by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today, honors institutions based on their finishes in the NAIA Championships. Midseason standings are unofficial, with official standings published after the winter season.
