Chickasha, OK- Texas Wesleyan hit the road to kick off their Sooner Athletic Conference campaign, sweeping the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) Drovers inn straight sets Friday night.

The Rams came out fired up as they dominated the Drovers in straight sets to start conference. Texas Wesleyan would lead in kills in all three sets, with the highest percentage coming in the set at .265 with 13 kills. The Rams would control the momentum every step away against a tenacious Drover squad that was unable to slow them down. Currently, Texas Wesleyan holds the all-time record over the Drovers having never lost a match since their first meeting in 2017.

Key highlights:

• Senior Sydney Alexander led the Rams with eight  kills and three blocks. Migdaly Bernal and Grace Pavelka each added seven kills.
• Ruby O'Brien finished the match with 17 assists.
• Emily Lewis led all players with 24 digs

The Rams are back on the road tomorrow for a match against Mid-America Christian University. The match will take place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with a 1:00 PM start time.
