WGOLF: Rams Finish Seventh at Lady Roadrunner Fall Invite

DALTON — Texas Wesleyan University's women's golf team made a strong showing at the Roadrunner Fall Invite, held Oct. 20-21, 2025, at Dalton Golf and Country Club, with three players finishing in the top 20. Hosted by Dalton State in the NAIA division, the tournament featured a competitive field, with Dalton State's Jia Kataria claiming the individual title.

Makena Junkin led Texas Wesleyan, tying for fifth place with a total score of +13 (F) across three rounds (RD1: +4, RD2: +4, RD3: +5), earning 38.29 points. Teammates Corrina Griffin and Natalie Miksovska also performed well, tying for 14th and 17th, respectively, with scores of +18 (F) and +19 (F). Griffin, competing as an individual, posted rounds of +6, +9, and +3, while Miksovska recorded +8, +5, and +6, each earning 25.24 and 23.22 points, respectively.

Kataria of Dalton State topped the leaderboard with a +5 (F) total (RD1: +4, RD2: +1, RD3: E), securing 74.58 points. SCAD Savannah's Yunyi Luo followed closely in second at +7 (F), with rounds of +4, -1, and +4, earning 63.13 points. Dalton State's Sara Burger rounded out the top three at +8 (F), scoring 58.08 points.

Other notable performances included Indiana Wesleyan's Kylee Purdy in fourth at +11 (F) and a three-way tie for fifth alongside Junkin, with Marian (IN)'s Keara Eder and Jordan Adam also at +13 (F). The tournament showcased tight competition, with players like SCAD Savannah's Jiahui Shan and William Carey's Taamtond Nivasananda tying for eighth at +14 (F).
