FORT WORTH - Casey Moses is a first-year assistant coach for the Texas Wesleyan University Rams baseball team, returning to his alma mater where he previously starred as a player. A former standout for the Rams, Moses earned two SAC Gold Glove awards, was named to the All-SAC team twice, and helped lead the team to an SAC Regular Season Championship during his playing career.
Following his time as a player, Moses transitioned into coaching, building an impressive resume across multiple institutions. He began at Chaffey College from 2018-2019 as a volunteer coach, where the team posted a 24-16 record and produced five Division II players and three Division I players. He returned to Chaffey from 2022-2023 as the pitching coach, guiding the Panthers to a 28-14 overall mark and a dominant 21-3 conference record. Under his tutelage, Braden Hofmeyer was named Conference Player of the Year and an All-American, while six pitchers advanced to Division I programs and five to Division II.
At Long Beach City College, Moses served as the infield and hitting coach during the 2021-2022 season following the COVID-impacted year. The Vikings finished 29-14, batting .295 as a team, with Matthew Pinal earning Conference Player of the Year honors as a two-way pitcher and first baseman. Four hitters from that squad went on to Division I careers. He rejoined Long Beach City for the 2023-2024 season in the same role, leading the team to a 30-15 record, a .316 team batting average, and a school-record 102 stolen bases. Luke Davis was named Conference Player of the Year and was later selected by the Philadelphia Phillies, with four more hitters advancing to Division I.
Most recently, Moses coached infielders and hitters at Biola University during the 2024-2025 season. The Eagles achieved a historic milestone by making the Division II playoffs for the first time in school history, finishing 26-27 while hitting .314 with a .402 on-base percentage. The team boasted four All-Conference selections and two players named to All-West Region teams.
With his proven track record of player development and team success, Moses brings valuable experience and a deep connection to the Rams program as he embarks on his assistant coaching role at Texas Wesleyan University.
