WBB: Texas Wesleyan Wraps Up Strong Season, Prepares for SAC Tournament

FORT WORTH - The Texas Wesleyan University women's basketball team concluded a successful 2024-25 regular season with a 19-9 overall record and a 15-9 mark in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC).

The Rams played dominant at home, posting a 13-2 record inside the Sid Richardson Center.

Texas Wesleyan opened the season with a commanding 84-53 road victory over Wiley University and secured key wins throughout conference play, including a 50-37 road victory against Oklahoma City University and a 60-55 home upset over No. 19 Langston. The Rams showcased their strength with a decisive 88-32 win over Central Christian and a 67-21 rout of Oklahoma Panhandle State.

Despite some road challenges, the Rams finished the regular season on a high note with a 71-48 victory over Central Christian. Their strong conference performance has positioned them for a deep postseason run.

Texas Wesleyan enters the SAC Tournament as the No. 5 seed and will travel to No. 4 seed College of the Ozarks for a quarterfinal match-up on February 27 at 6 p.m.

A win would send the Rams to the semifinals in Langston, Okla., on March 3, with the championship set for March 4 at 5:30 p.m.
