POINT LOOKOUT – Texas Wesleyan University (19-8, 4-5 SAC) secured a 7-3 victory over College of the Ozarks (7-10, 2-7 SAC) on Saturday.

The Rams took control early, scoring twice in the second inning on Rody Garcia's two-run homer. They added another run in the third when Tahir Meulens reached on an error, allowing Brendon Vela to score.

College of the Ozarks (7-10) responded in the fifth when G. Reynolds drew a bases-loaded walk, cutting the deficit to 3-1. However, Texas Wesleyan's pitching staff held the Bobcats in check until late.

Seth Wright (3-0) earned the win for the Rams, allowing one run on five hits over four innings while striking out two. Ty Sansom and Jacob Guzman combined for the final five innings, limiting the Bobcats to two unearned runs.

Brandon Rincones extended Texas Wesleyan's lead in the eighth with a solo homer, and Madaxon Aunko later scored on a wild pitch. Two more unearned runs in the ninth pushed the Rams' advantage to 7-1. College of the Ozarks attempted a late rally, scoring twice in the bottom of the ninth, but Guzman closed out the game.

The Rams finished with nine hits, led by Vela's 2-for-4 performance. The Bobcats tallied 10 hits but were stalled by four errors.
