MGOLF: Texas Wesleyan Earns At-Large Bid to 2025 NAIA Men’s Golf National Championship

KANSAS CITY — Texas Wesleyan University will compete for its seventh national title after earning an at-large bid to the 2025 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, the association announced Friday.

The 73rd annual championship will be held May 20–23 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.

The Rams are among 29 teams in the 156-player field, which includes 20 automatic qualifiers and nine at-large selections. Texas Wesleyan, a six-time national champion with 12 individual titles, returns to the championship with a storied history in NAIA men's golf. The program's most recent title came last season when Juan Ricardo Davila Bone won the O. D. Bounds Trophy as individual champion.

The field also includes 11 individual qualifiers selected through conference championships, returning all-tournament honors or at-large berths determined by the NAIA Men's Golf Executive Committee.

First- and second-round pairings will be released on Monday, May 12, at NAIA.org.

Texas Wesleyan joins Wayland Baptist and 11-time national champion Oklahoma City University in representing the Sooner Athletic Conference. Other prominent programs in the field include Keiser University, Dalton State, and Coastal Georgia.

The complete championship field features programs from 20 conferences across the country. To qualify automatically, teams either won their conference or earned a second bid based on final Top 25 rankings and membership criteria.
