OKLAHOMA CITY – Texas Wesleyan University Baseball was represented well in the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) postseason baseball honors, with six Rams earning All-SAC recognition, highlighted by designated hitter Brendan Vela, who was named to the First Team All-SAC.
Vela's selection as a First Team designated hitter capped an outstanding season at the plate, anchoring the Rams' offense and delivering consistent production throughout conference play.
Catcher Dylan Masanda, utility player Brandon Rincones, outfielder Rody Garcia, and pitchers Samuel Mendez and Jorge Carvajal were named to the Second Team All-SAC, recognizing their contributions to Texas Wesleyan's season.
In addition to All-SAC honors, third baseman Ryan Flores earned a Gold Glove, underscoring his elite defensive play and fielding consistency throughout the season.
The Sooner Athletic Conference's top individual honors were awarded to players and coaches from across the league, with Felix Polanco of Wayland Baptist earning Player of the Year, Brian Ereu of USAO named Pitcher of the Year, Christopher Munoz of MACU claiming Newcomer of the Year, and Kurt Ippolito of Central Christian College receiving Freshman of the Year. Wayland Baptist head coach Todd Weldon was honored as Coach of the Year.
