MSOC: Texas Wesleyan Overwhelms Texas College 5-0

FORT WORTH— Texas Wesleyan University (4-3-00 delivered a commanding 5-0 victory over Texas College (0-2-0) at Martin Field on Monday night, showcasing their offensive depth and defensive solidity.

The Rams struck early and often, with Rudy Gonzales opening the scoring in the 10th minute, assisted by Fabricio Martinez. Louis Guffroy doubled the lead in the 19th minute, followed by Martinez's goal in the 26th minute, assisted by Diogo Stefane. Stefane added a penalty kick goal in the 62nd minute, and Leonardo Coronado capped the rout in the 80th minute. Texas Wesleyan outshot Texas College 16-2, with nine shots on target, while goalkeepers Jesus Diaz and Gael Ibanez combined for one save in the shutout.

Texas College struggled to create chances, managing just one shot on goal from Khalil Hidani. The Steers' defense, led by goalkeeper Jonas Perez, made four saves but couldn't contain the Rams' relentless attack. A yellow card to Yasser Hamrerras in the 62nd minute compounded their challenges.

Texas Wesleyan's balanced attack saw Stefane lead with four shots, three on target, while Martinez contributed a goal and an assist. The Rams controlled possession, earning seven corner kicks to Texas College's zero.

The Rams return to action at Martin Field on Wednesday against Dalla sChristian College with the match scheduled to start at 7;30 p.m.
