FORT WORTH - Texas Wesleyan University (3-2-0) defeated Paul Quinn College (1-2-1) by a score of 4-0 on Frday night at Cramer Field.
The first half began with a barrage of shots from the Rams, as well as a strong defensive effort from 
Axel Tonietto to keep the Tigers from scoring. The Rams struck first as 
Fabricio Martinez found the back of the net in the 34th minute to take the lead 1-0. The goal was assisted by 
Peter Tenorio, his first assist on the season. The remainder of the half was a stalemate as both teams continued to shoot, but were stopped by solid goalkeeping.
The second half began with two new goalkeepers, 
Jesus Diaz for the Rams and Morgan Kendall for the Tigers. Both goalkeepers started off stopping some impressive shots and keeping the score at 1-0. In the 65th minute, Kendall had a costly yellow card that allowed Rams' 
Diogo Stefane to score his third goal of the season to extend the lead to 2-0. Just under 15 minutes later the Rams scored again as 
Joel Kisukulu out ran everyone and scored in the 79th minute, his second on the season. Kisukulu wasn't done yet as he scored yet again in the 84th minute to shut the door on the Tigers with a 4-0 victory for the Rams. The last goal was assisted by 
Marco Montez.
Kisukulu was an offensive standout with two goals on three shots to give the Rams some firepower. Tonietto and Diaz were solid defensively, making key stops and collecting six saves together and both had a clean sheet as they held the Tigers scoreless. Tonietto moves to 2-1 on the year in goal.
The Rams travel to Victoria, TX on Thursday, September 11 to take on Texas A&M University - Victoria.
