Texas Wesleyan jumped to an early lead in the first inning. Jose Rangel singled and advanced to third on a fielding error, scoring on a wild pitch. Endi Jaquez walked, stole second, and scored on a throwing error. Jorge Herrera scored as a result of Giuseppe Buttaci's RBI single. By the end of the first, the Rams led 3-0.
In the third inning, Texas Wesleyan extended its lead to 5-0. Aiden Vega, pinch running for Herrera, scored on a fielding error, and Jonathan Pena came home on Buttaci's single to center field.
