ARLINGTON, TX - Texas Wesleyan University (19-3) defeated Weatherford College (3-9) with a final score of 5-2 on Saturday. The Rams secured the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions and claimed four singles wins to complete the match.

Paulina Hudson and Zep Ege claimed a 6-0 win over Kshirin Wakalkar and Maria Ternera at No. 1 doubles.
Kaja Brunzlow and
Carla Arce Fernandez followed with a 6-2 victory against Valeria Cabrera and Sara Tublen at No. 2 doubles. Weatherford prevented a sweep by winning at No. 3 doubles, where Rosmary Pena and Juliana Jurado defeated
Shelby Standokes and Mica Magday, 6-4.
In singles, Weatherford initially took the lead with Maria Ternera winning 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles over Ege, and Valeria Cabrera defeating Hudson 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. The Rams responded as Magday secured a come-from-behind victory at No. 3 singles, winning 6-3, 7-6(5) against Jurado.
Carla Arce Fernandez then tied the dual score at 2-2 with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Pena at No. 4 singles. Brunzlow put the Rams ahead with a straight-set 6-2, 7-5 win over Wakalkar at No. 5 singles.
Meghan Connoly clinched the match for the Rams at No. 6 singles, rallying to win 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 against Amanda Skeltina, finalizing the dual score at 5-2 in favor of the Rams.
