Oklahoma City – Texas Wesleyan University has claimed the top spot in the 2026 SAC Preseason Coaches' Poll after finishing the 2025 season as conference co-champions.
The Rams collected the top spot in the poll with 116 points while earning five first-place votes after completing the 2025 season with an overall record of 25-7 and a league mark of 20-2. Texas Wesleyan fell in the conference tournament championship match before ending their season in the opening round of the NAIA Post-Season Tournament.
Nelson secured the second spot in the poll with 112 points and garnered five first-place votes, finishing with an overall record of 25-10 and a 20-2 mark in the league after winning the conference tournament championship. The Lions advanced to the NAIA Tournament before falling in the opening round.
Mid-America Christian claimed the third spot in the poll with 96 points after completing the 2025 campaign tied for third in the regular-season race with an overall record of 20-14 and a conference mark of 14-8.
Oklahoma City gained the fourth position in the poll with 91 points and a pair of first-place votes after an overall record of 17-13 and a league mark of 13-9 last season. Wayland Baptist rounds out the top five with 87 points after finishing the 2025 season with an overall record of 15-12 and a conference mark of 14-8.
