Fellow RRAC coach Chad McDowell was also among the finalists after leading his LSU-Shreveport Pilots to an overall record of 30-4 and the RRAC Tournament Title.

The Don Meyer Award, which is presented annually to the top NAIA basketball coach, is named in honor of the game’s winningest in any division in NCAA history. In 38 seasons at Hamline, Lipscomb, and Northern State, Meyer compiled a record of 923-324.
