Bunting Named RRAC Player of the Week

FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University’s Bailey Bunting has been selected as the Red River Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the period of September 5-11.
 
Bunting, a freshman middle blocker from Flower Mound, TX, recorded 35 kills and a .352 hitting percentage in four matches at the Point Loma Nazarene University Seaside Invitational.  She made just 10 errors in 71 total attacks and also provided nine blocks.  Bunting accounted for 13 kills in a 3-2 loss to The Master's University (CA).  TWU stands at 4-7 on the season. 
 
Bunting also shared the RRAC’s Hitter of the Week award with Danica Markovic of top-ranked UT-Brownsville. UTB’s Amber Brooks and Carleigh Dollar of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (TX) were named RRAC Co-Setters of the Week, while UTB’s Paula Barros and SAGU’s Laura Espinoza received Co-Libero of the Week accolades.
 
The Lady Rams will host the 5th Annual Wesleyan Hughes Classic this Friday and Saturday. Texas Wesleyan will face the University of St. Thomas (3:00 p.m.) and Wayland Baptist University (7:00 p.m.) in Friday’s action.
